Created during a two-week blacksmithing workshop at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, this piece is an attempt to create a photographic object from steel. Created using a combination of traditional forging techniques and digital modeling and fabrication, "Asymptote" mimics the undulating and folded forms of a specific stone face, just minutes from the blacksmithing studio at Haystack.
