Cast concrete. 2023
These concrete panels began as randomly-generated digital wave forms, created using a script in Blender. They take distinct physical forms through two molding processes—a cardboard lattice and drop cloth reveal a soft, quilt-like form, and a 3D printed mold creates a textured surface. The material reflects the accuracy of CNC process, but also reveals its own shortcomings in cracks, bubbles, and surface stains.
